The 11,500 SF Medical Office Building in Liberty Township, OH, offers both primary care and diagnostic services to the surrounding community.
The location at the intersection of Hamilton Middletown and Kyles Station Road provides a great opportunity to create a prominent street presence with two towering volumes on the building front.
The design includes 21 central exam rooms for practicing Mercy Health Physicians and a timeshare suite to offer patients diversity when evaluating their healthcare needs. Located at the north of the building, a diagnostics suite offers x-ray, mammography, echocardiogram, and laboratory services, making this a true ‘one-stop shop’ for healthcare services. The interior layout of the facility, including exam rooms, points of care, and medical staff/physician suites, creates an efficient circulation that separates patient care from staff collaboration spaces.
An interactive composition with a consistent rhythm of strip windows and openings around the building creates a balance of the two prominent volumes. Similarly, the floorplan has programmatic “anchors”: public registration and waiting to the east, staff support and work areas to the west, and a rhythm of exam rooms through the center. Mercy Health’s brand was included throughout with a warm base color palette, light wood tones, and bold accent colors to bring a modern and comfortable feel to this healthcare space.
