Built in the 1940's, this former tobacco warehouse was converted into condominiums in downtown Lexington.
Daylighting was a challenge in this unit as had it no exterior windows. The solution was creating an interior courtyard by removing the central portion of roof. This move floods the space with natural light creating a unique urban dwelling. Reclaimed wood floors, reclaimed barn lumber, reclaimed brick, reclaimed barn doors from horse farms, antique bull-rings from a local race track, and under-floor radiant heating are consistent throughout the space.
